Parkland teacher's alleged class rant: Kyle Kashuv is 'Hitler,' something should be done about him
April 26, 2018
Kyle Kashuv, embattled pro-gun Parkland student activist, is reportedly facing more than just online taunts by a teacher at his school, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School — the actions have allegedly morphed into in-school bullying.
Greg Pittman, the teacher who's gone back and forth with Kashuv over the last several days, reportedly called the conservative student "Hitler," and asserted that something should be "done" about him.
What's the history?
Pittman, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas teacher, castigated Kashuv after the student shared a photo from a shooting trip with his father on social media.
Kashuv said that the photo in question, a snap from a gun range, eventually led school security to call him out of class for interrogation over the photo.
Kashuv captioned the photo, which was shared on Twitter, “It was great learning about our inalienable right of #2A and how to properly use a gun. This was my first time ever touching a gun and it made me appreciate the #Constitution even more. My instructor was very informative; I learnt a lot. #2A is important and we need 2 preserve 2A.”

Kashuv also detailed the security officers' intense and "condescending" questioning.
Pittman engaged Kashuv on Twitter after news of the interrogation made waves on the internet, and attempted to discredit the student's thoughts on the Second Amendment and free speech.
What happened then?
On Twitter, Pittman blasted Kashuv as “attention-seeking” and called Kashuv's intelligence into question over the student's outspoken desire to preserve First and Second Amendment rights in the U.S.
“Poor taste is being kind,” Pittman said of Kashuv’s decision to post the offending photos and videos from the shooting range.

What's happening now?
On Wednesday, Kashuv revealed that a fellow student tipped him off to some disturbing news.
On Twitter, he wrote, "So... I just got a call from a friend of mine from @GregPittman1957's class and he apparently compared me to Hitler in class and said I am a piece of crap. The rant was about 10-minutes during class time and how he was right and I was wrong with my comments and that the school said he can't Tweet at me anymore, yet... he did. Oh well. Guess he is a vile moron."

What's reported to be a second student has come forward and corroborated Kashuv's claims.
"I was in class on April 25th with Gregory Pittman and near the end of class the discussion led to Kyle Kashuv's tweet about going to the gun range," the student said, according to a statement posted on Kashuv's Twitter. "Pittman expressed that he could not speak badly about Kyle because he was specifically told by administration not to. Pittman began talking about what an ass Kyle was and called him 'the next Hitler' and said that he was 'dangerous' and something needed to be done about him."

Kashuv later wrote, "Just a reminder, @GregPittman1957 made sure to inform me that he has 2 guns and now he's saying 'something needs to be done with me.'"
"I assume @browardsheriff will be ALL over this!" he added.

Kashuv later added, "My grandfather was one of the only survivors of the holocaust out of his entire family, and now a teacher is calling me the next Hitler because I have different political views. Sad!"

Pittman, at the time of this writing, has not responded to the allegations, nor has he made additional tweets about Kashuv, but has removed his Twitter profile picture and replaced it with a photo of what appears to be his dog.
