Home invaders turn tail and run as homeowner shoots at them — with a bow and arrow
May 23, 2018
A Pennsylvania homeowner reportedly heard a pair of intruders enter his Shaler residence through the back door Friday night.
So he grabbed a weapon and shot at them.
But it was no Smith & Wesson, Glock, or Beretta he aimed at the crooks. This guy had a bow and arrow at the ready.
"He heard them come in through his back door, which was unlocked," Lt. Sean Frank of the Shaler Police Department told WPXI-TV. "He grabbed his bow and arrow, which he’s proficient with, and he says he fired three shots down the hallway. Doesn’t think he struck them at that point.”

But the station reported that the homeowner managed one more shot as the pair fled his house which he believed hit one of them in the arm.

There was an order to shelter in place following the incident, but it was lifted just before 11 p.m., WPXI said.

Police are looking for two men in their 30s, with one possibly wearing a hooded sweatshirt and the other possibly wearing a red bandana, the station reported.
