Comey hearing reveals Washington in full display, says author

Today on "The Chris Salcedo Show," Chris Salcedo welcomed Michael Daugherty, president and CEO of LabMD, an Atlanta-based clinical and anatomic medical laboratory. He has 15 years’ experience in diagnostic medicine and is the author of "The Devil Inside the Beltway: The Shocking Expose of the U.S. Government's Surveillance and Overreach Into Cybersecurity, Medicine and Small Business."

Chris asked for Daughterty's take on the Senate hearing with FBI Director James Comey Wednesday, partly regarding his disclosure to Congress that he was investigating failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton 11 days before the election. More specifically Chris did not understand why there have been no consequences when it was revealed that former Clinton aide Huma Abedin forwarded classified emails to her husband, former Congressman Anthony Weiner.

The author said this is "Washington in full display," where senators are barely prepared by staffers in time for hearings. They are also trying to avoid political blow back and apply a clear double standard when it comes to their colleagues. The average citizen would not get off so easy. Another issue is that people in federal law enforcement are not immune to their own political bias.

Daugherty also felt that the left in particular protects their own because they believe government is the answer to everything, and they cannot damage the brand.
