Cyberattacks run rampant because we let them happen

Senator John Cornyn (R–TX) joins Chris Salcedo to discuss Congress' plans under the new administration, Trump's Cabinet appointments, and Russia. Chris and John touch on the recent nominations of Rick Perry and Rex Tillerson to Cabinet positions and how they feel about these selections. Chris supports Perry but has reservations about Tillerson, while John says, "Mr. Trump has made his pick and I support both of those."

Finally Chris and John explore the Democrats' accusations of Russian foul play, and John elaborates on the extent of foreign spying and digital attacks: "There's no secret that the Russians have been spying on the United States and engaging in cyberattacks as long as they've been around. Certainly the last couple of decades at least, since the cyberattacks have become very common."

"Barack Obama has been bending over for Russian interests his entire occupation of the Oval Office," Chris says. "He has allowed Vladimir Putin to run rampant and victimize allies that we made promises to."
