Formerly pro-Trump group revokes endorsement over immigration

A pro-Trump political action group has withdrawn its endorsement of President Donald Trump, claiming he failed to deliver on his campaign promises regarding illegal immigration. Today on "The Chris Salcedo Show," Chris Salcedo went through each of their complaints as reported by the Washington Times.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC noted that the president has not repealed former President Barack Obama’s 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which they phrased as "deportation amnesty for Dreamers." Trump said on April 21 that his administration was going after criminals, not children of illegal immigrants.

The group also believes Trump has set the level of acceptable refugees too high. A Washington court and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals managed to strike down Trump's previous refugee ban, which he will not fight at the Supreme Court.

They also state that he "has sent signals through staff that he may eventually be open to legalizing most illegal immigrants." Chris did not object to the legalization of persons who have come to the United States and not committed additional crimes if the border is secured first. Until then, however, he felt the U.S. cannot afford to keep supporting people who came to the country illegally.
