Do you really know what you’re paying in taxes?
On today’s show, conservative commentator and author Kristin Tate talked about the many ways the government is dipping into your paycheck, as detailed in her book “Government Gone Wild: How D.C. Politicians Are Taking You for a Ride -- and What You Can Do About It.”
In one example, Tate described how minimum wage hikes are passed on to the consumer. When you go to a restaurant, your bill will be padded to cover an increased minimum wage. If a higher bill is thanks to a government regulation, isn’t it really just another tax?
