Listen: This mom’s open letter to Planned Parenthood shares some heartbreaking facts

CatholicVote.org writer Carly Hoilman joined the show to talk about the annual March for Life and her latest piece headlined, “Stop Killing All of My Son’s Friends.”

Mom to a 5-month-old boy, Hoilman wanted to highlight the fact that while her son is thriving, so many babies who would be his age right now never got the chance to live. She shared some devastating facts about Planned Parenthood, the country’s largest provider of abortions, in the piece:

• Planned Parenthood reported 321,384 abortions last year
• About 1 in 3 abortions in the U.S. happens at a Planned Parenthood facility
• Planned Parenthood received $543.7 million in government funding last year

“How am I supposed to explain to my child that bloody wars were fought to end the slaughter of millions in Europe, but the ‘greatest genocide in history’—the elective slaughter of helpless infants—is applauded in the public square?” Hoilman wrote.
