Michele Bachmann on the role faith plays in the WH: 'It's beyond my wildest expectations
August 01, 2017
Former Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann called President Donald Trump a “a man of prayer” in a radio interview over the weekend. Bachmann told Jan Markell, host of "Understanding the Times,” that the president "is a man who, I do believe, understands who the God of the Bible is and he wants to lift up the God of the Bible here in the United States. He understands that is the foundation, that is the underpinning not only of the United States but of Western Civilization itself. As a believer in Jesus Christ, I could not be more happy with what I am seeing coming out of the Trump White House. This is beyond my wildest expectations.”
Despite Bachmann’s fervent words, Pat Gray, Stu Burguiere, and Jeffy Fisher just weren’t buying it.
“[President Trump] talking about the bible is like Glenn [Beck] talking about sports,” said Stu on today’s “Pat & Stu.” “He’s heard of the bible. He’s heard of ‘Two Corinthians,'… but they’re not at all familiar, culturally, to him.”
