The Iran nuclear deal may be an early target of the Trump administration
December 07, 2016
James Phillips of the Heritage Foundation chats with Doc Thompson on The Morning Blaze about the future of the Iran nuclear deal under the Trump administration. James offers that the best path toward overturning the deal would be for the U.S. to uncover an Iranian violation of the terms of the agreement, which would allow many of the lifted sanctions to be reapplied.
"There seems to be an opinion with the president-elect's camp that the deal can be regulated so tightly that Iran will be found to be in violation," James explains. "That would give the U.S. the reason to declare the deal void and, most importantly, allow it to reapply U.N. sanctions."
Listen live to The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson weekdays 6–9am ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
