Trump delivers long rant against 'very dishonest' media, praises Fox News in Phoenix speech

President Donald Trump held a rally with supporters in Phoenix, Arizona, Tuesday night. He addressed a number of topics, including the racial divide in America, immigration, the wall, industry, and the media.

He and the chanting crowd criticized mainstream media, as expected, but the president also took some time to praise Fox News, and Sean Hannity specifically. He said, “Fox has treated me fairly,” adding, “Some day they might not treat me fairly, and I'll tell you about it, okay?”

He then asked the audience, “How good is Hannity?” Answering his own question, he said, “He's a great guy, and he's an honest guy.”

Trump then said of the rest of the media:

“Not only does the media give a platform to hate groups, but the media turns a blind eye to the gang violence on our streets, the failures of our public school, the destruction of our wealth at the hands of the terrible, terrible trade deals made by politicians that should've never been allowed to be politicians.”

Yaron Brook, filling in on today’s “Pure Opelka” said that “Fox is so pro Trump, it’s not even funny anymore.” He agreed that media bias typically leans left, and that former President Barack Obama "could do no wrong as far as the mainstream media.”

However, Yaron was uncomfortable with a sitting president endorsing any particular news source.
