AfriForum exposes list of South African farmers marked for expropriation — government denies claims

A list by the AfriForum of all of the farms the African National Congress would be expropriating without compensation was published Friday. However, the ANC is denying the veracity of the report.

The list of the 195 farms held by white South Africans circulated within the department and farmers were encouraged to read the report so they could better prepare for a "joint legal strategy" if their name is on the list.

The list included the name of the farmers and their addresses that are scheduled to be expropriated under Section 25 of the Constitution.

Linda Page, a spokeswoman for the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform, said there is no validity to the list and that the ANC had identified only 139 farms slated for expropriation but has refused to make that information public.

AfriForum's deputy CEO Ernst Roets said the document originated from a "confidential source" and that the list was "definitely being circulated."

On Monday's episode of "Pat Gray Unleashed," Pat discussed the sad news out of South Africa.
