Country music star Aaron Watson joins Tomi to discuss his music career and how the mainstream record labels tried to get him to change his personality and beliefs. Watson replies that his wife knocked a lot of the options off the table for conforming. He explains how he can never change who he is, despite the music industry telling him to leave the "Texas thing" behind.
To demonstrate this principle, he and others painted a Texas flag on an old building and stood in front of it rebelliously for his album cover. Watson says that the fans love it, but the big box retailers won't carry it.
