Bernie Sanders blasts Disney for making billions in profits with workers 'going hungry

Business

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is still preaching socialist doctrine, calling for a "living wage" and blasting executives for making money. Disney was his target at a union rally on Saturday.

“I want to hear the moral defense of a company that makes $9 billion in profits, $400 million for their CEOs and have a 30-year worker going hungry," Sanders said. "Tell me how that is right.”

Disney is in negotiations with the union and has offered to raise its Disneyland employees’ starting salaries to $15/hour over the next three years.

On today’s show, Sara and Jeffy talked about why working at a Disney park isn’t intended to be a lifetime job while sitting in for Doc and Kris.
