Disneyland's 'Pirates of the Caribbean' ride gets a feminist makeover

The iconic Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland currently includes a 'bride auction' scene, which features plundering pirates bidding on rope-bound women under a banner that reads: “Auction: Take a Wench for a Bride”. But in an effort to be more PC, Disneyland is planning to give the 'damsel-in-distress scene' a feminist makeover. The refurbishment is scheduled to begin April 23.

According to an artist’s rendering, the updated feminist-approved scene will feature a redhead woman wielding a rifle and wearing a pirate hat. Hang on ... didn't the women’s movement just spearhead a huge anti-gun national event? And by the way, since when were pirates ever PC?

"I'm pretty sure pirates were sexist," observed Glenn on today's show. "May I just say, this is stupid? Okay, this is stupid."
