Forced from her country for a selfie? Miss Iraq, Miss Israel reunited after photo 'scandal

What happened?

Sarah Idan of Iraq and Adar Gandelsman of Israel were reunited in Jerusalem this week, six months after their Miss Universe selfie together kicked off international controversy.

"Peace and Love from Miss Iraq and Miss Israel," Idan wrote in the caption for the photo that sparked death threats for herself and her family. She refused to take the photo down despite the blowback. Idan and her family have since been forced to leave Iraq.

Glenn's take:

Iraq is home to thousands of Palestinians and has refused to recognize Israel as a country. On today's show, Glenn wondered what we can do with this picture that was worth a thousand words ... of anger.

"What do we do when those thousand words are all hateful and deadly?" Glenn asked.
