Glenn: Here’s what I like about Comey, and here's where he's wrong

FBI Director James Comey was unceremoniously fired on Tuesday, and his dismissal seems to have been a cue for the left and the right to switch sides.

Glenn Beck called out both liberals and conservatives for changing their minds on Comey on Wednesday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.” The FBI director came under fire from the right after he cleared Hillary Clinton in the email investigation, but he was also targeted by the left when he announced that the investigation had been re-opened shortly before the 2016 presidential election.

“I think he is a guy who honestly tries to do the right thing,” Glenn said of Comey. “I’m not saying I agree with him on what he did; I think he was trying to do the right thing.”

Stu Burguiere also thought that Comey, who has been accused of partisanship by both Republicans and Democrats, should be commended for not bowing to political pressure.

“The fact that he’s instigating that reaction from political hacks is probably something he should put on his resume,” Stu said.

“That is one thing you can say about James Comey at least that I like,” Glenn agreed. “He may be wrong, but he is not playing the political game.”
