A recent story recounted the possibility of surgical lasers igniting methane produced by patients during surgery. Dr. MacDowell, a Nashville surgeon called into Glenn Beck Radio to discuss this phenomenon and share a few light-hearted anecdotes about his practice.
These stories prompt Glenn to facetiously ask, "Has there ever been a time that you opened somebody up, or you were treating somebody, and you thought ... 'Why the hell am I doing this job?'"
“It happens to me almost weekly, Glenn,” Dr. MacDowell said after chuckling. “There are just some days where I’m like, 'God why didn’t I go to law school?’"
