The ultimate sacrifice': A veteran reminds us of the true meaning of Memorial Day
May 28, 2018
What does Memorial Day mean to you?
Army veteran Jack Tilley, a retired 12th sergeant major, joined "The Morning Blaze" to talk about what Memorial Day is really for – a day to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to die in service for their country.
As a fellow veteran, Kris really wanted people to recognize the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day, two holidays that are too often treated as interchangeable. Veterans Day is to honor those are currently serving or have retired from service, while Memorial Day specifically commemorates our fallen veterans.
To see more from Doc, visit his channel on TheBlaze and listen live to “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson” weekdays 6 a.m. – 9 a.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
