Top climate scientist blows whistle on data manipulation in high-profile climate study

A top climate scientist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has revealed, that despite his objections, the NOAA published a report in 2015 based on unverified — and since debunked — climate data that was intended to portray global warming as accelerating. This report contradicted a study released by the United Nations (UN) in 2013, that indicated climate change has slowed down or even paused since 1998. The now-retired scientist, Dr. John Bates, says he believes the NOAA's report was rushed in order to impact the then-upcoming UN climate change summit in Paris.
