Watch: ‘I like taking the guns early’: Trump says due process for gun rights ‘takes so long’

On today’s show, Doc was alarmed about some remarks from President Donald Trump that sound like an invitation for the government to come in and take anyone’s guns without due process.

President Donald Trump asked in a televised bipartisan meeting on Wednesday with Vice President Pence and other lawmakers why the authorities can’t go in and “take the guns first” with due process coming second when people are reported as dangerous.

"Take the firearms first, and then go to court," Trump said. "Because that's another system. Because a lot of times, by the time you go to court, it takes so long to go to court, to get the due process procedures -- I like taking the guns early.

Everyone is on edge in the wake of the Florida shooting, but shouldn’t these comments be cause for concern? Doc reminded the audience that conservatives would have immediately protested if President Barack Obama had said the same thing.
