Women and minorities are getting concealed carry permits at surprising rates
July 24, 2017
The number of concealed handgun permits are up from over a year ago, and those numbers are being fueled by women and minorities. Permits went up a staggering 93 percent among women in eight states that provided data over the past four years.
John Lott, Jr. of the Crime Prevention Research Center told Dana Loesch on today's "Dana" that a weapon can make up for the natural strength differential between men and women. He also suspected that increases among minorities might be due to concealed carry permits becoming more affordable.
