From Obama’s DNC speech tonight: ‘You elected me to tell you the truth’

Excerpts of the speech President Obama will deliver tonight at the Democratic convention:

“I won’t pretend the path I’m offering is quick or easy. I never have. You didn’t elect me to tell you what you wanted to hear. You elected me to tell you the truth. And the truth is, it will take more than a few years for us to solve challenges that have built up over decades. It will require common effort, shared responsibility, and the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one. And by the way – those of us who carry on his party’s legacy should remember that not every problem can be remedied with another government program or dictate from Washington.

“But know this, America: Our problems can be solved. Our challenges can be met. The path we offer may be harder, but it leads to a better place. And I’m asking you to choose that future. I’m asking you to rally around a set of goals for your country – goals in manufacturing, energy, education, national security, and the deficit; a real, achievable plan that will lead to new jobs, more opportunity, and rebuild this economy on a stronger foundation. That’s what we can do in the next four years, and that’s why I’m running for a second term as President of the United States.”

Obama is scheduled to speak in the 10 p.m. hour.

I’m not going to pick on obama, but it seems everything he says these days sound exactly what were were told the Anti-Christ would say.. He has so many people fooled with his ability to lie shamelessly without end.

A liar is the same as a thief. A thief will eventually get what he wants even by murder if he does not seek and receive salvation and turn his life around. This man, Obama, is rotten through and through. He has no identity with Americans and that for which they stand. He chose, as does anyone what he wantes to follow and it certainly is not God. He had his chance and he drew the wrong road. He chose his friends as they are what he is inside. He wants to destroy this country and wipe God out of the conscious of the people. He is the very image of evil and destruction of all that is good and decent.

Obama is rubbing it in the faces of those he knows who know who and what he is, by saying “you elected me to tell you the truth. He is mocking this country. I despise everything he stands for. He is totally irksome to the nth degree.

Obama says he was elected to tell the truth? He is the biggest liar in America, bar none. This man has no truth in him. How can these follow him after all those lies? This is not normal. Something is bad the matter. Half or more of those people in that audience did not vote for having God mentioned in that center where they were. This, to me, is amazing. This is what happens when hogs run the government and cause people to be disallusioned. People like this comes into power and we are endanger of losing it all. Those congressmen sitting on their hands are worthless. They know what he is and are trying to protect themselves from whatever it is he has on them. Their job is to protect the U.S. citizens. I despise those cowards who have allowed this country to get in the shape it is in. They have sit by and allowed this ignoramous man to slick into the top Office of the United States because they are lazy, drunks or pervs. They are sacrificing the whole of America because they have been as they are. They are worthless and will rot in hell for allowing the people of this country to have had to put up with this liar and ineligible piece of garbage playing as our President. People have worked all their lives and paid those congressmen good salaries to uphold the Constitution of this land, and they all seem to have thought they were at some kind of cronie camp to make friends and influence people. They are worthless. They have done nothing but destroy this country by their sloveness.

  I hope more people listen to what you say. Unfortunately most just watch the actors perform and think they are doing a service for race relations. On the other hand these followers really don’t care about the issues or they would run from the New Obama Democrats. I pray (which I can if I am Repubican) that Obama does not get another chance to complete his mission in changing Democracy so he can be KING.

Strange that man in the White House said set goals for “your” country. He knows it is not his, now don’t he? He is a liar, a deceiver, a usurper and Marxist. This man is not my President, he is an inteloper and has no business in our White House. I despise what he stands for and want him in jail for what he is attempting to do.

  Whose effort? This man, Obama is a multi-multi- millionaire. He came from Kenya. So how did he get rich? He is the one who needs to answer some questions besides his birth certificate, etc.
  He worked for a Baskin Robins during college? He has some nerve calling out any rich person. He is a leech who is going to kill this country or split his drug soaked brain trying. He is a man who accuses others of doing what he is doing himself. This better be his last term in office or he will have this country in worse shape than Kenya. There are those out there who knows who he is and are yellow bellied snails for not allowing the American people the right to know what it is they are voting for. Some time back, I was in Delaware visiting a dear friend in Wilmington. Her name is Joni, and as I see it, everyone should have a friend like her. A straight shooter, Joni tells it like it is, and her direct opinions are both a delight as well as a breath of fresh air. In the years I have known her, it has been both her strength of character and unflinching honesty that have only added to the beauty that is so evident within her. We had a wonderful visit, and during our time there, she and I were discussing one of many passions we have in common – politics – particularly politics within the Beltway. Given that Wilmington is less than 100 miles away from Washington, there is more of a local touch to what happens in Washington’s corridors of power.

So talented is Joni at helping draw out new ideas in people, that I even wrote a column while I was visiting with her. That column was on the then-recent Murder 1 conviction of former ADA and prominent local attorney Thomas Capano, where a jury was deliberating whether or not he should die for his crime. Bad luck for Capano that Delaware has one of America’s most prolific death chambers, as he was subsequently sentenced to death.

As we were having a snack, Joni and I were discussing some of the goings-on within Washington. One of her complaints was of her own senator, Democrat Joseph Biden, who apparently is known in local circles as “Blabbermouth Biden

“You elected me to tell you the truth.” Then by his own tongue, we should vote him out because he has not told the truth. 100-years from now, when kids pull up their online dictionary, it will have a photo of Obama under the word Liar. Well, we can hope.

obamas like a guy that wants to get down a girls pants, tell them whatever it takes to get your way, then kick them to the curb,then move on to another?? bill clinton was the same,when caught in a lie just keep lying straight faced,the only thing that counts is you get your way???
