Rush Limbaugh destroys Stephen Hawking's theory on climate change: 'Meteorological porn

During the July 5 airing of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh took physicist Stephen Hawking to task over his recent comments blasting President Donald Trump's June decision to pull the United States out of the Paris climate change agreement.

Hawking on Sunday addressed Trump's decision during a BBC interview where he said that the president's decision to opt out of the Paris Accord could lead tho the destruction of humanity, and effectively turn "the Earth into Venus."

"We are close to the tipping point where global warming becomes irreversible," Hawking told the BBC. "Trump's action could push the Earth over the brink, to become like Venus, with a temperature of 250 degrees, and raining sulphuric acid."

Limbaugh was unimpressed with Hawking's claims, and accused the physicist of peddling "meteorological porn."

"Folks," Limbaugh said frankly, "that is meteorological porn. We're on the way to 250 degrees and sulfuric acid for rain because of Donald Trump?"

He continued, "Now, Stephen Hawking has the respect of practically everybody because he's the smartest physicist, therefore human being, on the planet ... but this is insanity."

Limbaugh noted that Hawking's recent comments are just the latest in a string of bizarre theories.

"Hawking's been saying, 'If we don't colonize an asteroid, if we don't colonize Mars or the moon or something, we're all dead and we got to do it within the next generation or we're cooked.' This is insane," he blasted.

"But I’ll guaran-damn-tee you that every science teacher in America believes it, junior high, middle school, whatever you call it, grade school," Limbaugh added. "I'll bet you when they see stuff like this, Stephen Hawking is like Bill Nye the Science Guy. He's an irrefutable source to these people."

Limbaugh warned his listeners that we're "living in dangerous times," and noted that the left has been utterly successful in the dumbing down of today's society.

"The left has so succeeded in dumbing down people that they've even dumbed down themselves," he concluded. "They've dumbed down their professoriat, they've dumbed down their commentariat, they have dumbed down practically everybody in their ranks. They have filled them with paranoia and fear."
