Misidentified: A man was stabbed...because a haircut made him look like a Nazi
August 20, 2017
A Colorado man was stabbed on Wednesday because someone thought he was a neo-Nazi.
Joshua Witt, 26, pulled into a Steak 'n Shake in Sheridan, Colorado, when he was stabbed while exiting his car.
He posted the following comment on his original post, explaining to his friends what happened:
So I went to get a shake after the chiropractor and as I got out of my car all I hear is "you one of them neo-nazi?" As the dude was swinging a small pocket knife over my car door .... then he took off running and I was just sitting there in shock like what the heck dudeI have no tattoos that would indicate anything like that
There is nothing on the car that I am aware of that might suggest it
My head is not shaved
I just don't understand this world anymore lol people are crazy
Witt said he called the cops and, as far as he knows, the suspect remains at-large.
When Witt asked his friends how he looked like a Nazi, the only conclusion they could come up with was that his haircut resembled a cut frequently worn by the hate group. He is now considering changing his hairstyle.
“Apparently, my haircut is considered a neo-Nazi statement,” Witt told the New York Post.
He had to receive three stitches for the cuts, he said on Facebook.
