Speaking on “Fox and Friends” Thursday morning, Conservative Review Senior Editor Michelle Malkin drew attention to the immigration “racket” set up by the Obama administration that she says has to be “shut off.”
“There’s a whole entire racket that was created by the Obama administration for central American minors who are taking advantage of the system because they’re coming here, they’re being reunited with their illegal alien families — who are then collecting tax payer subsidies to provide foster care for their own illegal kids,” Malkin explained.

She is referring to an Obama administration program called the Central American Minors (CAM) Refugee/Parole program. As the Center for Immigration Studies explained in 2016, the program’s purpose was ostensibly to provide minors “a safe and legal alternative to a risky illegal crossing of the border.”
In 2016, the program was expanded to include adult children, married children, and biological parents, as well as a vague category of “caregivers.” What that means, essentially, is the program opened the borders to the families of migrants to come to the United States if they have a family member living here already.
U.S. taxpayers are footing the bill. In fiscal year 2016, the program cost $967 million. “That’s another scam that has to be shut off,” Malkin said.
