ROUND 2: Ted Cruz to debate Bernie Sanders on taxes

ROUND 2: Ted Cruz to debate Bernie Sanders on taxes

Former presidential candidates Senators Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., are headed back to the debate stage on Oct. 18 to talk about tax reform in a CNN town hall event.

The debate will be moderated by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash and will be broadcast at 9 p.m. ET. Cruz and Sanders will each make their case for the best way to reform our tax code and will take questions from the audience.

In recent weeks, Sen. Cruz has been pushing for Republicans to cut taxes big-league. He wants Americans to be able to file their taxes on a postcard.

Sen. Sanders, a socialist, is opposed to Republican efforts to reform the tax code, attacking the plan as tax cuts for the wealthy.

This will mark the second time the conservative and socialist meet on a CNN debate stage. In the last round, Bernie Sanders proved he was completely nuts in a debate with Cruz on Obamacare.

Sanders argued for single-payer healthcare and said the government should have the power to force employers to insure their employees. This time, he’ll have to argue for the tax increases necessary to fund his socialist schemes.

Ted Cruz will destroy him with facts and reality. Again.
