WATCH: Cory Booker stormed out of the Kavanaugh vote, but not before giving a 20-minute speech

Senator Cory Booker, D-N.J., couldn't let the Senate Judiciary Committee vote on Brett Kavanaugh go down without at least a little bit of his trademark dramatic flair.

It was a pretty standardly dramatic Cory Booker speech — that is, about as convincing as a high school understudy's take on Hamlet. Here are some of the highlights:

Substantively, he hit all the same points that Democrats have pushed for the past 10 days and that their Republican colleagues have already responded to: that there needs to be an FBI investigation, that he believes Kavanaugh's accuser, that he doesn't believe Kavanaugh, and that they should continue to delay the vote.

I wish I'd started a timer on him when he began, but according to Twitter time stamps, he went well over 20 minutes. Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, even had to stop him at the 17-minute mark to ask if he was going to leave any other committee members time to speak before the vote.

Keep in mind that this is only his first SCOTUS nomination as a member of the committee. If that wasn't a 2020 campaign stop, I don't know what is.
