WTF MSM!? Spreading left-wing smears about Sean Hannity

Activists, not journalists …

A smear … On his show Wednesday night, Fox News’ Sean Hannity made the following observation about those targeted by Robert Mueller.

They are demanding that witnesses turn in their phones. If I advised them to follow Hillary Clinton’s lead — delete all your emails, and then acid wash the emails and hard drives on the phones, then take your phones and bash them with a hammer into little itsy bitsy pieces, use bleach bit, remove the sim cards, and then take the pieces and hand it over to Robert Mueller.

How do you think that would work out for everybody? I’m sure the result would not be the same as Hillary’s.

The Daily Caller’s Amber Athey has the story about how a Media Matters activist tweeted out video of the segment and left out the part that shows Hannity was clearly making a comparison about how the FBI treated Hillary Clinton. A whole host of “journalists” like Soledad O’Brien and others then dutifully pushed the story. This is the left-wing amplification chamber in full force. Take something out of context and repeat it so much that it becomes the truth.

RIP Anthony Bourdain … CNN’s John Berman is exactly right: “Everyone wanted to be Anthony Bourdain. I did. We all did.” Berman’s just one of the people trying to make sense of the news that celebrated chef and storyteller Anthony Bourdain killed himself in France.

I’ve always been drawn to Bourdain’s show, not for the amazing food but for the stories he told. Almost like no other interviewer, Bourdain had the ability to put people at ease and tell the stories of the everyday people he met in exotic and not-so-exotic places.

The National Review’s Jim Geraghty made a very good point this morning: “When Bourdain moved to CNN, I was a little skeptical — does this really belong on a news network? But it was fascinating and illuminating to see ‘this is what daily life is like in Libya’ separate from, say, Benghazi coverage, or Jerusalem, Mexico City, Russia, Iran.” Geraghty then shared a link to this episode, where Bourdain was caught in the middle of fighting in Beirut.

Bourdain was never shy about talking about his own personal demons and his battle with depression. The world’s a little worse off without him here to tell its stories.

I want to close out this segment with two things. First, Bourdain – more than anybody – succinctly summarized what Waffle House means to America. It’s worth a watch. Second, if you or anybody you know are thinking about suicide, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
