Rep. Weiner's Speech Response Includes Alcohol and Bachmann 'Mother Ship' References
January 26, 2011
Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) was so disgusted with Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-WI) State of the Union response he just wanted to drink away the pain, he admitted last night. And if that wasn't original enough, he also referenced the "mother ship" while responding to Rep. Michele Bachmann's (R-MN) additional rebuttal:
"[Obama] was then followed by a guy who was bumming us out," Weiner said on MSNBC Tuesday night. "I felt like I just needed a drink when I was done with Paul Ryan."
"And then Michele Bachmann who clearly was not in touch with the mother ship," Weiner said later. "That is the contrast we heard. I think it was a good night for President Obama."
Weiner has had a recent fascination with playing drinking games. Last week, he suggested playing such a game in regards to the health care debate.
