Google has launched an international message board in order to help friends and family locate their loved ones in Japan. According to Busines Insider, 88,000 people are currently missing.
The free service, called Person Finder: 2011 Japan Earthquake, allows people to either post updates about themselves or search for information already posted about someone else:

Google launched similar services to aid both the recent New Zealand quake as well as last year's devastating rumbling in Haiti.
