SANAA, Yemen (AP) -- Security and tribal officials say a suspected U.S. drone has fired a missile at a car in a southern Yemeni province, killing two brothers thought to be al-Qaida militants.
Yemen's defense ministry says two al-Qaida suspects were killed in Shabwa province early Thursday. It didn't say how they died.
Shabwa security and tribal officials reached by telephone told The Associated Press the two are brothers Abdullah and Mosaad Mubaarak. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the incident.
They didn't say why they suspected it was a U.S. strike.
