WhiteHouse.gov now fishing for email addresses

Visit WhiteHouse.gov nowadays and the Obama administration will ask you for your email address:

I'm sure the Obama administration is aware of the rules surrounding the mixing of official government and campaign business.  That said, I'll be keeping a close eye on what kind of "periodic updates" they send out to the acquired email addresses.
