There are apparently no standards left for truth-telling in political ads these days.
Weaving together random clips of GOP presidential contenders participating in this week's New Hampshire debate, the latest video ad from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) purposefully instills confusion in viewers and then asks: What in the world are they talking about?
Unless you watched the debate and knew that this video came from a debate, you probably wouldn't understand what these small clips of video are all about. And by suggesting that these Republicans simply "met to talk about" pressing issues instead of answering direct questions from a debate moderator, the Dem campaign team is blatantly misleading viewers.
This video demonstrates nothing more than the fact that Democrats count on their base of support to be flagrantly uninformed -- how else could they possibly think such an ad would be effective?
