Whether they meant it or not, the Associated Press gets my award for the most fear-mongering global warming headline of the past week. As temperatures hovering around 100 degrees swept through many parts of the country, the AP worried people would be boiled alive in sweltering summer heat -- literally:

Apparently this reporter missed the middle school science lesson during which the teacher explained the difference between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Otherwise, we would've seen Fahrenheit temperatures surpassing a balmy 212 degrees.
What's more unbearable -- the summer heat or shear stupidity?
