Scam artists are relentless. Since they are willing to steal from our most vulnerable citizens it goes without saying that these dirtbags will take advantage of any tragedy.
I received an email over the weekend, the subject was 'In Danger' ... how could I NOT open that? I started reading and, maybe it's just the cynic in me, but something tells me this could be a brand new scam hitting the market. Here it is:
Hmm, sounds kinda fishy. For starters, her entire family has been murdered. She was the only one to survive. Her life is in grave danger. She has a VERY important message she wants me to know about before she is hunted down and murdered by Gaddafi. But she's going to wait till a later date to tell me about it? And how on Earth would my 1) name 2) country 3) phone # 4) address help Miss Kadia give 'details' of her important story?
Hmmm - nice try, Kadia!
Sad thing is, someone - likely the elderly - will probably fall for this.
