Vanity Fair: Don't blame Obama... he quit smoking

What is to blame for President Obama's childish "irritability, instability and confusion?" According to Vanity Fair, the commander in chief is showing classic symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. Yep, it has nothing to do with his emotional maturity level or his progressive sense of self entitlement -- he quit smoking two years ago and thus can't be blamed for any wrongdoing.

VF blogger Juli Weiner writes (I hope in pure jest):

It’s barely been two and a half years ago that the president was heralded as a beacon of progressive change. What has happened in the interim that our defender of Democratic ideals now regularly gives into Republican grandstanding? There are many theories, and they range from the merely tactical to the conspiratorial. We’d like to suggest another: Obama is going through nicotine withdrawal. ...

A quick look around QuitSmokingSupport.com confirms that much of Obama’s erratic and depressive behavior is consistent with symptoms of quitting.

Aaaand just as I suspected, a quick look around Facebook confirms that Ms. Weiner is an Ivy League English major.  Color me surprised.

So what kind of "symptoms" should we, the American people, be on the lookout for?

“Feelings of being an infant: temper tantrums, intense needs, feelings of dependency, a state of near paralysis.”

“Vagueness, mental confusion”

...otherwise known as modern liberalism.
