Marcus Luttrell’s Lone Survivor Foundation hosts fundraiser gala

As Glenn mentioned on radio this morning, former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell and his Lone Survivor Foundation are hosting their biggest event of the year Saturday -- it's 2nd annual gala, "Mission: Never Quit!"

For those not familiar, Luttrell established the Lone Survivor Foundation in 2010 after being awarded the Navy Cross for his actions during Operation RED WINGS, a harrowing event he details in the New York Times best-seller Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation RED WINGS and SEAL Team 10. From this experience in Afghanistan which claimed the lives of many his good friends & brothers in arms, Luttrell dedicated the LSF to pay tribute and give back to those who serve.

On Saturday, Glenn will join Marcus and other distinguished guests -- including Texas Governor and GOP presidential hopeful Rick Perry -- in Houston to help raise funds for the organization which works to provide support and unique therapeutic opportunities for wounded American service members and their families to help optimize recovery and healing.

Aside from its worthy cause, my favorite part of the gala celebration is the invitation's recommendation for attire: "cowboy cocktail and boots."
