There was a thrill up his leg for then-Senator BarackObama. But before that, Chris Matthews had tears for Richard Nixon when he lost the election in 1960.
"On election night, as the returns started to come in, the early ones signaling their defeat, I was overwhelmed — and I cried," Matthews writes in his new book "Jack Kennedy."
The book is set to release next Tuesday.
