America's favorite game show host Donald Trump on Monday raked Rick Santorum over hot coals, saying it would be a pleasant "gift" for Santorum to win the GOP nomination for president. But it's a gift for Democrats.
"There’s nothing — there’s no gift, no Christmas gift — that could be given better than Rick Santorum to the Democrats," Trump said in an interview with a radio station based in Michigan. “And, you know, I don’t think they believe it’s going to happen. But boy, would they like it to happen because then it would be an easy election.”
Trump endorsedMitt Romney earlier this month and is scheduled to bat for him in radio interviews Tuesday through Thursday leading up to the Michigan primary next week, according to ABC News.
