On "Piers Morgan Tonight" Tuesday Mitt Romney's Maryland campaign chair Robert Ehrlich was asked about the substantial lead President Barack Obama has over Romney among women.

"I think when the general election... when you have one-on-one general election and they again are reminded of Gov. Romney's real views, that gender gap will dissipate rather quickly," Ehrlich said.

[Ehrlich] suggested that voters — particularly women — would not be exposed to Romney’s “real views” until the general election.

In context, Ehrlich says Romney's problem with women is a result of "Sen. [Rick] Santorum's verbiage." In short, Ehrlich thinks many women are confusing Romney's views with Santorum's and if/when Santorum drops out of the primary, women will see the difference.
