Beck Breaks Down the 'Real War on Women'

Liberals are treating women "like morons."

On his Thursday morning radio broadcast, Glenn Beck and his co-hosts slammed Democratic strategist Hillary Rosen for recent comments she made disparaging Ann Romney.

Despite Democrats' claims that Republicans are waging an all out "war against women," the Left's actions just might dictate otherwise. Yes, after the litany of sexist attacks leveled against Sarah Palin during the 2008 election, once more unto the breach have liberals dared venture -- this time disparaging Ann Romney's choice to stay at home and raise her five sons.

During an appearance Wednesday on Anderson Cooper’s “AC360”, Rosen made the following condescending remarks about Mitt Romney’s wife, Ann:

“His wife has actually never worked a day in her life. She’s never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing in terms of how do we feed our kids, how do we send them to school and how do we . . .  why we worry about their future.”

Ann Romney responded with the following tweet:

After additional attempts on the part of Rosen to argue her case both in an op-ed and in the Twittersphere, she made an about face and issued an apology, asking Romney if they, along with the nation, could "put the faux 'war against stay at home moms' to rest once and for all."

Beck condemned Rosen's elitist attitude and pointed out that it is in fact Democrats who are waging the war against women when they can demean a "strong woman" who stays at home and raises her children in such a way. The liberal establishment is treating women like "morons," Beck said.

Beck also noted the hypocrisy of "limousine liberals" who, based on their affinity for government assistance, are probably less likely to raise their children with strong work ethic and sense of personal responsibility than conservatives. He and his co-hosts added that unless a woman conducts herself the way liberals want them to -- and have a 9:00 to 5:00 job -- then they are deemed "worthless."

Ann Romney has long-battled the debilitating illness Multiple Sclerosis while raising her five children, but that fact was somehow omitted by Rosen when she dismissed the idea that Mrs. Romney could understand the struggles of women.
