Green at Any Cost: Solyndra was just the beginning

American taxpayers should brace to lose millions more from the federal Department of Energy’s alternative energy stimulus investments, predicts the leading Republican congressman investigating Solyndra.

Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Fla., chairman of the House Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, also forecasts significantly higher energy costs if President Obama gets a second term to implement what Stearns calls an “alternative-energy-no-matter-what-the-cost” policy.

“Their policy is very doctrinaire; they want to push green energy at any and all costs,” Stearns said in an exclusive interview with The Blaze. “They want to eliminate fossil fuels in this country, not realizing the alternatives now are not efficient. The White House is trying to install a program for green energy that’s not based on free-market principles.”

Stearns predicts Obama will restrain a federal alternative energy push until after the November election.
