GOP insider: Romney's VP pick will be incredibly vanilla

A report out today says Mitt Romney, the whitest man in America, won't be causing any hot flashes among Republicans who are hoping for a little color on the GOP ticket. He might go straight vanilla, no sprinkles.

One Republican official familiar with the campaign’s thinking said it will be designed to produce a pick who is safe and, by design, unexciting – a deliberate anti-Palin. The prized pick, said this official: an “incredibly boring white guy.”
