Which is more 'obnoxious': horse riding or gardening?

The Atlantic examines the "obnoxious" hobbies of Michelle Obama (gardening) and Ann Romney (horse riding).

I'd say both are equally annoying in terms of actual productivity and the outfits you have to wear while doing them, but Ann took up horse riding to cope with her multiple sclerosis so she gets a pass.
