The writing in broadcast news is pretty terrible in general but local TV news is a different level of crap. Last night's Conan proved it by stringing together a clip of local news anchors from around the country using the same hook heading into a story about ice cream. The exact same phrase: "I scream, you scream... you know the rest."
Gag.
