Country music singer Randy Travis was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and threatening officers after he was found lying naked in the street near his crashed car.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Travis was arrested just before midnight on Tuesday after a one-vehicle accident in Grayson County in far North Texas. The sheriff's office said it received a 911 call from a witness saying a man was in the road.

Travis, 53, refused a field sobriety test and made threats against the Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responding to the call, the Associated Press reported. A search warrant was obtained and a blood sample was taken at a nearby hospital.

"Travis had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and several signs of intoxication," a statement from the Grayson County Sheriff's Office said. "While Travis was being transported, Travis made threats to shoot and kill the troopers working the case."

A booking photo of Travis released by theGrayson County Sheriff’s Office shows the singer sporting cuts on his face and a black eye. He left jail Wednesday morning on a $21,500 bond wearing wearing scrubs, a University of Texas ball cap and no shoes, according to the AP.

It's the second arrest this year for Travis, who was cited for public intoxication in February.
