Ross Douthat, a conservative columnist for the New York Times, calls GOP pollster Dick Morris "a joke" in a Politico story today:
“Dick Morris is a joke to every smart conservative in Washington and most every smart conservative under the age of 40 in America,” said Douthat. “The problem is that most of the people watching Dick Morris don’t know that.”
The story frames "smart conservatives" as Republican Party operatives and the people who work for think tanks like the Heritage Foundation.
As a D.C. resident, generally speaking, it's a true statement.
