Wilkow on Obama 2012: 'Forward to the Unemployment Line

President Barack Obama met with business executives like Jeffrey Immelt of GE and Alan Mulally of Ford in Washington today to discuss getting the GOP on board with his tax plan. While the president is looking for support in his solution to tax the rich, businesses continue to hurt under his administration. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that employers issued 1,316 “mass layoff actions” (affecting 50 workers or more) in September. Companies that have recently made changes to their workforce/ business model include Bank of America, Darden Restaurants, Pepsi, Citigroup and Hostess.
