If I asked you to blurt out which way NASCAR fans lean politically, it would probably take you all of one millisecond to scream "conservative!" That's because the perception is that those fans generally are the "guns and religion" type so famously mocked by the president in 2008. So if I told you that Bill O'Reilly sent his producer to a recent NASCAR race to talk politics and the responses he got were not entirely what you might have expected, would you be a little surprised?

Sure there were plenty of comments you'd expect. But there were also a few that you wouldn't.
