Miss Venezuela's Painfully Awkward Answer to Miss Universe Question Is Cringe-Inducing
December 20, 2012
During the Miss Universe pageant on Wednesday, Miss Venezuela not only lost the competition to Miss USA, she also apparently lost her ability to put together a cohesive sentence, at least temporarily.
Reminiscent of Miss South Carolina Teen USA's cringe-inducing reply to a question during a pageant in 2007, Miss Venezuela, or Irene Sofia Esser Quintero, failed to piece together a decipherable response when she was asked -- by a Spanish translator -- what law she would enact if she could and why.

Instead of trying to transcribe her disjointed rambling answer, why don't you just watch the mega-awkward moment for yourself.
However, Miss Venezuela was somehow able to recover from the embarrassing moment and was crowned second runner-up in the competition. Miss USA Olivia Culpo was crowned Miss Universe on Wednesday night.
